Tangled Released...

There is nothing more delightful than a princess story with a fine looking prince! Finally, Tangled, the story of Rapunzel was released and what better way to spend a family night! Cuddled up on the living room floor with our pj's on...snacks, pillows, blankets, and lovies we watched, giggled, and shed a few tears (well, maybe I was the only one that did) as Rapunzel navigated with Flynn to reunite with her mother and father...and as I enjoy each moment like this that we share it also reminds me that as a parent these evenings will soon pass and we will be wishing them back when our children are following their dreams and paving their path in life...priceless.

From One to Two!

Where does the time go? It seems just like yesterday we brought our sweet pea home from the hospital...and in two short years she has gone from being completely dependent to a strong-willed independent lil lady who loves to nuture. At fourteen months, she began walking and that's where it all began-discovering her new found freedom opened many doors for her. She could now escape from her brother, climb stairs, rough house, hide, and run when in trouble! As her world opened so did her speech...by twenty months she had no problem letting you know what she thinks and her sassiness is quite humorous. Shortly after, the binky fairy appeared to take her binky for a new baby and again, opened more doors... She is the second boss in the house, and not afraid to show it-she is assertive and will let you know she doesn't like the outfit you chose and will quickly strip to dress herself in an outfit of her choosing...aside from her babies, books, and brother she loves to be a leader, singer and actress. In school, she leads her own circle times with her friends Violet and Nathan and sings her favorites "Rock a Bye, Baby" and "The Itsy Bitsy Spider". Her laugh is contagious, her curls envious, and accomplishments, many!

Kennedy's Favorites:

Books: Brown Bear, Brown Bear and Ladybug Girl

Sick Day

'Tis the season for snow, hot chocolate, fireplaces and ... colds, influenza, and sick days! At the crack of dawn we awoke to not one, but two sick children. So it was "my turn" to stay home, and one would think that when you are suffering from a fever, runny nose, congestion and cough that a perfect day would be lying in bed and catching up on DVR'd television shows...not my kids! They were as full of energy as any typical day. After a hearty breakfast our "P" day began. We went from pretend play to puzzles, play-doh to the playroom and accomplished some Picasso-like art work all before 9am. I truly believe in those short three hours they achieved more than they would have if they were in school. Dancing with Rapunzel and jamming to the "Fresh Beat Band" were the highlights of the day...I find it so comical that both Bryce and Kennedy have memorized the entire entrance routine and music to the show that they are able to participate in a lively and timely fashion. They are truly two best friends, who no matter how they feel, they still manage to bud around and take care of one another-we are blessed.
